Here are some of the places I’ve traveled, and some data on the trips


Best Trip: Japan, Guam, Bali, Java (1999) (and most miles for a trip: 23,500 miles))

Most Emotional Trip: Ecuador, and Galapagos Islands ((2003) (my mother had passed on a few months prior to this))


Greatest Sites on my trips:

India, the Taj Mahal ((Agra) (1997))
Egypt, the Pyramids (1998)
Borobudur, Java, Indonesia, 1999
China, the Great Wall, 1996
The Acropolis of Athens, 1995
Stonehenge, England (1997)
Macho Picchu (1999)
The Rapa Nuis, of Easter Island (2002)
Anchor Wat, Cambodia (2000)
Coliseum of Rome (1998)
Peru, Stone Forest (2007)
Mesa Verde (Colorado) (2005)


Scariest Trips:

Egypt, at the Sphinx (1998) almost got shot
Turkey, Izmir (1996) Almost got robbed
Athens. Greece (1995) almost got drugged in a nice nightclub
Buenos Aires (2007) got robbed there
Alabama, 1969, in Huntsville, they never liked whites
mixed with black, and when I moved back in 1977, to
Ozark, it didn’t change much


Washington, D.C., everywhere we went, to see the monuments, police said: don’t do this, don’t step there, what a drag of a time, you never knew if they were going to shoot you, or, drag you into some corner (2002); I never felt safe there.


Most Troublesome Trip: Iguazu Falls: Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina ((2007) (got robbed by three bandits))
